Zomer Nieuwsbrief Atelier de Hoogzit

Wegens veel illustratiewerk heeft deze nieuwsbrief even op zich laten wachten. Alles is af, de uitgever heeft gelukkig zijn goedkeuring gegeven en de boeken kunnen in de maak!

Onderwijl waren er verschillende andere creaties onderweg waaronder werken voor Galerie Zuid. Daarna bereiden we ons voor op het grote Heideweekevenement.

Onder tropische omstandigheden is het me ook gelukt de Kerstkaart voor de Manege Zonder Drempels te maken. De sneeuw zou eraf smelten, maar als het goed is, gaat de kaart deze week in productie en zal voor het eerst verkrijgbaar zijn tijdens de Vlegeldag te Bennekom in de Heideweek.

Graag nodig ik jullie voor nu uit voor de expositie te Galerie Zuid. Wie nog nooit hier geweest is ziet het woord Galerie. Bij wie hier ooit wel geweest is, verschijnt meestal een glimlach op het gezicht bij het horen van de naam en herinneren van de ervaring van het bezoeken van deze bijzondere plek. Je moet het gewoon meemaken. De sfeer is zo bijzonder. En het is mij en een aantal van mijn collega kunstenaressen weer een eer mee te mogen doen met de Zomersalon. De tentoonstelling is al begonnen, loopt tot september, maar kijk vooral naar de openingsdagen en tijden a.u.b.

Dan staan we tevens aan de zomervooravond van het

Open atelierweekend van de Edese Atelier Route. Het belooft wat te worden! Inmiddels heeft het aantal kunstenaars zich verdubbeld en betreft het wat hoofdexposanten betreft een 40tal deelnemers van verschillende pluimage en discipline.

Op de Hoogzit exposeren er nog eens zo ongeveer 25 extra mee. Deze grote variëteit aan kunstvormen is te vinden door heel Ede.

Op de Hoogzit gaat het voornamelijk om de teken- en schilderkunsten.

De week erop zitten we op de Braderie tijdens de Oud Lunterse Dag  met ons oude ambacht; de schilderkunst.

Al met al, de kwasten hebben behoorlijk gedanst de laatste maanden en ik hoop weer snel met een verse youtube te komen in de volgende nieuwsbrief, waarin het maakproces van de Kerstkaart centraal zal staan.

Atelier de Hoogzit Summer Newsletter

This newsletter has been a little delayed due to a heavy workload of illustration projects. Everything is finished now; fortunately, the publisher has given their approval, and the books are ready to go into production!

In the meantime, various other creations have been in the works, including pieces for Galerie Zuid. Next, we are preparing for the major 'Heideweek' event.

Despite the tropical heat, I also managed to create the Christmas card for *Manege Zonder Drempels*. The snow might have melted right off the canvas in this weather, but the card is scheduled to go into production this week and will be available for the first time during 'Vlegeldag' in Bennekom as part of the Heideweek festivities.

For now, I would like to invite you to the exhibition at Galerie Zuid. For those who have never been there, the name 'Galerie' (Gallery) speaks for itself. For those who *have* visited, the mere mention of the name usually brings a smile to their faces as they recall the experience of visiting this special place. It is something you simply have to experience for yourself; the atmosphere is truly unique. It is an honor for me—and several of my fellow artists—to participate in the 'Zomersalon' (Summer Salon) once again. The exhibition has already started and runs until September, but please do check the opening days and times.

We are also approaching the summer weekend of the 'Edese Atelier Route' (Ede Open Studio Weekend). It promises to be a fantastic event! The number of participating artists has doubled; in terms of main exhibitors, there are around 40 participants representing a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines.

At 'De Hoogzit' itself, approximately 25 additional artists will be exhibiting alongside me. You can find this great variety of art forms all across Ede. The event at 'De Hoogzit' focuses primarily on drawing and painting.

The following week, 29 th august, we will be at the 'Oud Lunterse Dag' street fair, showcasing our traditional craft: painting.

All in all, my brushes have been dancing quite a bit over the past few months. I hope to share a new YouTube video in the next newsletter, focusing on the creation process of the Christmas card.
